Apple Can Now Repair the Bottom Microphone on iPhone 15 and 15 Plus

According to information obtained today from multiple sources, Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers can individually repair the bottom-right microphone on the lower-end iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

As part of Apple's commitment to environmental responsibility, the new procedure of replacing this microphone on its own should make these repairs less expensive for customers while also being less wasteful. Repairing this microphone on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and other iPhone models still necessitates replacing the entire mid-frame chassis.

All other microphones on iPhones, including those next to the earpiece and rear camera, still require a mid-frame replacement.
