DepEd issues list of schools that will pilot test ‘Matatag’ curriculum
DepEd expressed that there are five schools each from the Public Capital District, Cordillera Regulatory Locale, Districts 1, 2, 7, 12, and Caraga that will participate in the program, bringing about a sum of 35 schools spreading over seven districts.
The Branch of Training (DepEd) delivered on Sunday the authority rundown of taking an interest in schools for the pilot execution of the "Matatag" educational program.
Matatag educational plan, or the changed K to 10 program, was sent off on August 10.
Under this, the lessons for kindergarten through tenth grade will concentrate on five crucial abilities: language, perusing and proficiency, math, makabansa, and great habits and right direction.
The following is the rundown of the government-funded schools:

The pilot run is booked to start on September 25, the office added.
"We decongested the educational plan by 70%, which upholds our emphasis on the fundamental abilities of proficiency and numeracy. [ This will help reduce] stuffing and [help focus] on the fundamental components of learning," said DepEd's Agency of Educational plan Improvement Chief Jocelyn D.R. Andaya during the starting occasion.
As per DepEd, the new educational plan will be executed in stages beginning in 2024 until 2028.
